General Information

  • The Academic Writing test takes 60 minutes. It consists of two tasks. The recommended time for each task is: 20 minutes on Task 1, and 40 minutes on Task 2. Between the two tasks of your Academic Writing Test, you are free to start from the one you like.
  • Your essay should include at least 250 words.
  • You should spend approximately 40 minutes on this task.
  • In this task, your ability to respond to a topic, generate relevant ideas, outline problems and offer solutions to the problems based on your experience and reasoning is measured.
  • IELTS Writing Task 2 falls into the category of argumentative essays.
  • IELTS Writing Task 2, compared to IELTS Writing Task 1, carries more weight in scoring.
  • Your reader is an educated person with only general knowledge of the topic.

Nowadays, a lot of people believes that distance learning is beneficial and has many advantages. However, some people think that this method of learning is not as good as a face-to-face . I am inclined to believe that distance learning is an excellent way of learning in today’s world.
, I would like to mention some advantages of distance learning. Undoubtedly, one of the most significant merits of distance learning is helping us to save our time. , we can attend an online course instead of attending a and prevent from wasting time in a . Furthermore, we can also save our money for the essential things such as an emergency situation, bills, etc. In addition, we can help the nature in order to prevent from issue which is a very nowadays.
, technology, we do not need to purchase so many print books and we can purchase E-books instead and read them everywhere. , there are some disadvantages for distance learning, for instance, we can easily by our mobile or computer notifications that we could not focus on our class. As I mentioned before we are able to choose how to use . Moreover, I as a student prefer to attend online courses instead of going out and attend a face-to-face course.
To conclude, I would like to mention that many students over the world do not have attending a , for example, someone who lives in remote areas or some parts of Africa. So distance learning could help them in order to , and I personally think that face-to-face learning will distance learning method by next decades.
